BAKING AS A STRESS RELIEVER

I tend to be the type of person who gets stressed out really easily, but over my almost 20 years of life, I've figured out a few ways to de-stress myself. When I was younger, these consisted of dance, soccer, and occasionally screaming into my pillow, but I've slowly transitioned into a new one. Baking.

This week was crazy for me. It was the week before Spring Break and it was full of midterms. As I'm sure I've stated before, I am NOT a good test taker so this week was my kryptonite. Luckily, I've finished my three tests and one quiz, but to get back in the swing of feeling like my old self, I decided to pull out the cake mix Bryce and his roommate Payton had at their house and make some cupcakes!

I haven't actually baked something in quite a while due to the fact that I live in a dorm, but it really has been one of my favorite things to do (probably due to the fact that my dad is a chef). I wanted to share my process with you guys and you can see how yummy mine turned out and maybe make some of your own as well!

Bryce's favorite is Strawberry so that's what I had to work with. ;)

It's so much easier to pour the mix into cupcake pans if the bowl has a little lip so I transferred it into this larger measuring cup.

I love sprinkles especially on vanilla frosting! I think it makes them so much cuter!

Here is the final and YUMMY product. I'm not a big cake/icing person, but there were delicious if I do say so myself.

I wish for you all to be in "baking" mood and make yourself some yummy little treats.
