Flying Alone

I've never been one for flying (it's always been a fear of mine), but this weekend, I faced my fear and flew alone. On an hour flight. HA! I went up to Fayetteville for the second time and visited Bryce. It was a nice visit and I even got to go to a football game in the actual stadium this time! But....IT GETS EVEN BETTER!! Bryce has fall break this weekend and will be here Thursday! Although, I will be leading a retreat this weekend for my church, he doesnt leave until Tuesday, so lots of time with my favorite person!

Oh, did I mention I fly standby so the only way to get on a flight is if there is empty seats on the plane? Most people think standby is a GREAT perk, which it can be, but a lot of the time its a pain in the butt. Well my way to Fayetteville was a breeze, but on the way home, not so much. I got stuck in the Fort Smith airport for almost six hours and let me tell ya, I was not a happy camper. It was a two gate airport and the only place to eat was on the other side of secuirty. But, sometimes you just gotta go with the flow and meet a two year old and color with her while you wait for some luck to be thrown your way.

The XNA airpot was awsome. It had a great view of the rainy day and plane, as well as a massive chess set. It made my first time flying alone not too scary.

Yay for finally seeing the stadium!
A very cold & rainy game MUST be accompanied with corn dogs
 this is a joke. (kinda)
yes we used self timer :-)
leaves are FINALLY changing and that makes for a happy Shan
Arky is my new favorite state.

 Night flights call for sprite.

And sometimes on a Monday night while you're at home with your family, you just gotta eat mint chocolate chip ice cream with a mint chocolate chip cookie and order vintage sweaters from Etsy. I love college and life with my family and wonderful bf and of course my amazing awesome friends.

 Happy Monday!
