- What on Earth would I do without my dad? He is my best friend and my number one fan. He understands writing just as much as I do and loves teaching me about the camera even though I already know what hes teaching me. ;) He is one of the strongest people I know. He has been through so much and all of that has shaped who he is today. When he was seven his dad died. That is probably one of the hardest things you will ever have to go through. When I was in 4th grade, his mom was hospitilized with some sort of disease the doctors could not find a cure for. They were certain she wasn't going to make it. Luckily she pulled through and my dad couldn't be happier. Also, a few years ago when the Dallas Cowboy's practice place collapsed, his best friend was the only one majorly injured. My dad didn't know what to make of this and was so upset. For days he would not look, talk or motion to me. He was trapped inside his own little world of sadness. Luckily, his friend is in a wheelchair, can drive himself anywhere he needs to go and still has his job. I had never seen my dad so upset about something, it was heartbreaking. This past summer he lost his job and we are currently living off of a teacher salary. For those of you who don't know that is one of the lowest paying jobs out there. He has made the best of it and luckily my family is surving and nothing has gone too wrong yet. We find ways to find money and we make it through together.
- Right after my dad lost his job, without the rest of my family's knowledge, my dad decided to become Catholic. My mom, brother and I are all Catholic so he was always the only one who wasn't. I was beyond excited for him and so proud of him. Soon after he made this decision, a close family friend offered to open up a cafe with him! I am so poud of the little chef my daddy has become. He is a true man and knows how to thank God for all the things he is blessed with.
Reasons Why I LOVE my Dad:
- he teaches me how to bake and cook
- he helps me with my homework
- he doesn't lose his temper that often
- we share the same interests
- he is home everyday after school to talk to me
- he is giving me a job when his place opens up
- we both love cameras and computers
- hes good at math, something I'm not
- he is the BEST dad on the Earth and there is no denying it!!!!
