Austin is Awesome

The weekend of Halloween fantastic. I woke up Friday morning and drove down to Austin with Fran. I was so excited because we were going to visit Emily!!! It had been so long since I had seen her and my parents were letting me drive there with no adults!

The second we got there, Emily ran out of her dorm, gave us a BIG hug and took us to her calculus class. She had told us a lot about this teacher and how weird he was, and boy was she right. He was very quirky and called us out for not actually being in his class. That was the funniest part. Well, besides him saying that everyone dressed up as ghosts for Halloween since the class was so empty.

We got to hike Mt. Bonnell and see the beautiful view and of course watch Em pet as many dogs possible. We had some delicious tacos for dinner that night. We met some of Emily's sorority sisters and eventually decided to go out to some of the Frat house parties. Ferons and Grace ended up going to Austin as well so we met up with them. Emily, Fran and I went as minions from despicable me.

It was such a pretty view!

The parties were interesting to say the least. Haha they weren't at all what I was expecting. It was so loud and there were so many people. We went to two different houses but eventually ventured back to the first house because it was more fun.

Glad we found Mark! haha
our last minute costumes.
This guy was great. He was dressed up as Jesus and prayed with all of us.

We woke up Saturday morning and went to breakfast. Since there was a little bit of a wait, we went to walk around and ended up at Urban Outfitters. Later that day we went to the graffiti park which was super cool. I think we were all expecting it to be super sketchy, but it was rather impressive. We even got to see a few people spray painting.

I really wish I was talented enough to do this.

That night Emily and I went to dinner with Madi and Suyash to a very yummy mexican place. There was a little bit of a wait and Madi was ready to eat. I'm glad that Suyash came with us because hes a great pal and very fun to be around.

Fran and I woke up early Sunday morning to leave because I had a work meeting. It was a great weekend and I was very happy to see Em! Can't wait for all my pals to be reunited over Thanksgiving.

Happy Monday. Love,
Shan

oh! While at Urban, we found these great beanies. If only they weren't 30 dollars...

Anddd I'm just gonna leave this here. haha
