Mission Laredo

Hi readers of the internet. I'm back at it with technology and such. After being in the WONDERFUL city of Laredo, TX from the 11th to the 18th, it's good to be back.

The hardest part of this mission trip was realizing that it was my last one with St. Ann. I've grown up at this church, made so many friends here and most of all my relationship with God has flourished. I realized that I'm more than just a person placed here on this earth. I was given a purpose just like everyone else. I may not know what that totally is just yet, but helping the wonderful people of Laredo this past week was something that I'll cherish in my heart forever.

I was at the wonderful San Francisco Javier Parish for the second year in a row. A wonderful feeling was when kids remembered me from last years VBS program. It made me feel like I really had touched their lives. God has a funny way of showing us what we need in our lives and I feel as though my friends and I really found that out this week.

Despite the 107 degree weather and sketchy trips to the border, I wouldn't trade my three Laredo years for anything. If I could go back and do that week of summer again, I would. My heart broke as I left the people of San Fran for the last time and I'll admit that I cried more than once. Leaving Laredo for good the next day was even harder. It was my last High School event ever. My last 242 t-shirt and the last time I'll see many of my church peers.

God has worked wonders in my life these past few years and I'm glad I've been able to share it with some of you. While I was in Laredo, I made a video of what was going on, but since I am currently on vacation in Florida, I am not able to upload it at this moment. Ill post pictures and the video as soon as I am back!

Much love to you all, see you all when I'm back from Pensacola. :-)
